Clay Muse - Aimee Pelletier-Turner

Artist's Statement:

I recently made a conscious decision to work in clay as a road back to art. Sometimes a piece of clay can be haunted; pod-like, micro organism, sea creature and spore-inspired. I want to make work that begs to be touched and explored. There is a lot of life in clay, in the Earth.

I want to marry my garden work with my clay work and will be creating garden sculture in the spring of 2009. Other interests are architectural ceramics, tiles and outdoor worthy sculpture.

If attending the Artisan's Market, please stop and take a moment to pick up the sculpture and look at the bottom or handle a mug and feel it in your hands.

I hope you enjoy and are inspired by my art!"
